As much as i love my dolly i really want to get out hacking again, me and mumma bear lived for hacking because she is a nosy sod and i enjoyed the company :( To top it off someone i thought was a 'friend' has been making snide comments about hacking past my house so i can see and what i presume means to make me jealous.

Don't want to put too much on here incase said person reads it but just constantly feel like they have to try and out do me.

On a posative note i schooled Tess in walk today ( ground too hard for much else) and she was so responsive practiced our turn on the forehand which was a new thing a couple of other dressage moves.

Mini rant over, off to groom the horses and relax

Thank you for such a lovely comment, its difficult at the moment and whilst i am graced with a beautiful foaly and equally stunning mummy horse Im itching to get back in the saddle :o x

Oh it won't be long, you've done all the hard work - it must only bee weeks? until you're back out. I've been off since November (baby!) and the satisfaction when you're back on is so worth the wait.

Come on you, this is not your type of thread. This is not going to be forever and you and the bear will be out and about noseing around lol, I do not how you feel so many times I want to ride but cant if the help is not around so I just find other things to do either with them or around them. Ebony is away at Boot Camp lol been there for now weeks and I miss her so very much but it not forever and this keeps me going, re the people trying to out do you take no notice of them they are very narrow minded if this is what they are trying to do and are prob very jealous of all of what you have and are doing. I have a few like that which really makes me laugh how you can try an out do the wobbly idiot is beyond me and does not take a lot to do that anyway, but makes them feel good strange really. People re act in different ways and for what ever the reason do we really want to know, try not to let them get to you and keep up beat things will and can only get better for you the bear and Dolly :biggrin3:

People can really be so needlessly unpleasant. This person sounds incredible childish. You have achieved far more than they ever will by coping with an unexpected foalie - it's them that should be jealous of you and your lovely horses! And also because you are a much nicer person who actually thinks about others' feelings (saw your other thread about the horseshoe for your teacher!)

Their not a friend if they have been making snide comments, there is a reason you can't hack out but it won't be long and you will be able too, though I realise that means little Dolly will be gone.

You have many good years ahead of you with Tessy and I know how hard it is too want to ride out when you can not (my mare had KS)

But you know what?, rise above it you have the admiration of so many for the adult way you handled an unexpected situation and one persons snide comments above the many admirations you have means nothing.

Sorry if that's a rambling post have been on the rose, but you are far more adult than your "friend" xxxx

No prob hun i know how you feeling i have the same problem too!!! enjoy what you have and be proud!!! hey and look forward to getting back in the saddle!!!!!!!xxx

Bless, you have done Tess and Dolly proud. Ignore anyone you feel is trying to make you feel bad, Dolly will be gone soon and Tessy will be all yours again, from your posts I can see she is very important in this way. Be prepared for some feelings of loss though .. it will happen, and you might not be prepared for feelings of guilt that she has gone. It's happened to me even though I knew where they were going and great homes to boot.

Errrrr why should you de jealous of anyone hun ? You who suddenly realised you were having a foal. You who dealt with the whole experience running up to and after said foal. You who showed yourself to be a lovely mature young lady dealing with all both foal and family life through at you. You who have come on here asked for help but entertained as well. Now tell me who should be jealous ? :) x

I know, just had a silly moment :O gosh couldn't do that, i can only imagine the hard work all starts again just schooling in walk today she reverted back to her wiggly wormy i cannot walk straight baby ( 11 really) self.

Thank you, just felt a bit poo after helping them out quite a lot ! Im not hard to out do because i have fun.. not a serious competer nor do i big myself up ,.. im just out to have fun with my best friend. Had a nice grooming session with both of them and realised who cares x

Yes i did think who is supposed to be the adult here :( its been a strange few months and i wouldnt change it i have a beautiful girl and her equally as beautiful daughter, its meant i have lost out and not achieved what i wanted like this person has but hey ho. Thank you again for a lovely post

Thank you :o I was feeling a bit poo and down, but i really dont have anything to feel down about there are people who cannot hack out all together like your KS horse :( Im lucky to be blessed with them if it means waiting so be it . Just hurt by so called friend because i did a lot for them :( :( oh well xx

I let silly things get to me easily need to toughen up ! She was bought to be a riding horse ( as well as a family member don't get me wrong if anything ever happened meaning she couldnt be ridden she would become a loved field ornament and retire here). But i wouldn't change it if it meant loosing Dolly, I will cry i know when Dolly leaves it will be strange not having her following us round investigating everything. Thank you for being so very supportive all the way through the process and making me see sense on multiple occasions

Thank you x, I just let things get to me, it was silly to get upset over because im truly lucky to have what i have. Im also lucky to have so many people on here who help me see sense lol x

Ps i second welsh mare re you have gained the admiration of many on here sweetheart. get that bloody head up and held high. X x

Its amazing having so many people i count as friends.. crazy as i have not met any of them, yet i feel the support is there :) x

Well that would be an odd thing for them to do, people are weird.com!

Clearly you have nothing to be jealous over even if you miss it, you have two beautiful ponies and have had this amazing experience, I'm quite jealous of you really haha! I know it has been a rollercoaster for you but you've handled it so well, you'll be back out riding in no time!

Oh sweetheart what people say and do will always affect you(im aged and it still does)but what you have learnt, the way you have handled everything will set you in good way for later life. Look in mirror and think wow what have i achieived . Carry on learning carry on asking questions look to what you want. peoples comments mean nothing .Aim high hun i think you will achieve what you want. Big hug from a Tessy fan x x

Oh, I'm sorry. Although, as much as hacking out may be yours and Tessy's thing, while your at a loose end why don't you get a book of schooling exercises and have a play at teaching her some new things (there are plenty of things you can do at walk). Lateral exercises in walk are really good for building up the horse's muscles, so by the time Dolly leaves you will be off to a flying start :)

Oh and ignore the 'friend' - obnoxious people tend not to be the best horse people anyway because horse's don't take too willingly to it.

Aww Tessybear I should have explained, my KS mare who had behavioural problems as well (napping with rearing) is now coming right, I am starting to ride again and hack out again (massive progress for us ;) )

I was trying to get across that it will come in time (didn't explain clearly) but it won't be long, and as someone else said, through a very difficult situation you have dealt with it so well and kept us all entertained, your an inspiration the way you have dealt with it and I applaud you for your strength during all of this.

have you got any really quite roads near you?? may be someone can lead D? or do you think she could pony off tess (although if she runs i dont know if you could stop her)? she seems pretty relaxed about most things and very quite road work wouldnt hurt her...bit different and i bet she would want to explore every hedge!! plus you can then get out on tess

I'd find a kick up the bum smiley were it not so late and had I not had a stiff drink after one of the scariest experiences ever tonight!

It's not long til Dolly goes and you can practise for the all the stressage you like while you wait! Plus you have a beautiful new trailer!!

Here is a knocking some sense into you smiley!!

Bet you're just all peed off at the thought of going back to school!!

And there lies your answer madam is jealous of you, having and raising Dolly
and the ever gorgeous Tess. I'm a long term lurker and followed Dolly-gate from the first vet thread. In terms of you and Tess hacking out etc. this will soon be a tiny blip. Don't give Miss jealousy a second thought, apart from stupid cow etc.
