I am looking for an alternative feed balancer. Has any any experience with Top Spec or Equilibra?

Has any one known or heard of someone's pony heating up on either?

I use TopSpec and all the teamchasers have it too and none of them have noticably heated up. One of the TCs lives on alfaA with a handful of cool cubes as hard feed sends her loopy but has full rations of topspec with no ill effect.

from what i remember equilibra contains considerably fewer and lower quantities of the vits and mins.

I love TopSpec! My sharp little mare is much much better on it, she holds weight better because she stresses less, and we have far fewer hissy fits.

Both girls are on it and both have great coats, good hard feet and level temprements. Wouldn't change it at all.

I started mine on TopSpec recently because I discovered that her feed was not providing all mins and vits at the level at which we are feeding. She is fairly up for it normally but does not seem to have altered since being on the feed balancer. I would def recommend it

Used the normal top spec balancer on my fizzy TB. Didn't heat her up at all. Used the light top spec balancer on my fell. Made her more responsive and she seemed happier when I put her on it. Would recommend it

Hmm, I've just changed my lot from Top Spec to Hi-fi Balancer (only since Friday). I await with interest to see what the difference is (apart from ££!).

Having a change of feed as a couple of my lot are just being too fizzy and someone suggested changing balancer.

I used Blue Chip for a while (my cats and dog go mad for it!) but it became way too expensive with five horses to feed.
