Are they worth feeding? Are they more cost effective than a powder such as pink powder for a 16.3 horse? How long would a bag last for a 16.3 horse? Ive just bought some baileys lo-cal for my horse.
I think they do have their place, but do seem to be very 'fashionable' at the moment- after all they didn't really exist 10 yrs ago, but horses seemed to survive without them!
My horses has access to good quality grazing and forage, so do not feed a balancer. However, if either of these were lacking, I might consider one.
IMHO the feeding market is way too confusing now - maybe people opt for balancers as they appear less complicated?!
