Can anyone recommend a feed balancer that is high in Vit e (at least 3000iu per day) I have started using the forage plus winter balancer but it is so expensive. My horse has a mild shiver so has to be on a high fibre, low starch & sugar diet.

Thank you

I don't think you'll find one, since Vit E is one of the most expensive ingredients, and 3000IU is above the normally recommended daily dose.
It may be worth going for a cheaper balancer that has good levels of everything else, and topping up with Vit E separately. Pro Hoof sells Vit E oil powder at a reasonable price (if you buy a larger amount in bulk), and Equimins has a competitively priced Vit E oil in liquid form. You could work out the price per dose for those and see if you fare better than with the FP winter balancer.

I have to feed extra vitamin E as I've got 2 horses with PSSM. Natural vitamin E is absorbed better than synthetic so you can use less - but it's flippin expensive! I have bought from Forage Plus, Thunderbrooks and Progressive Earth (ebay) in the past. All good - I tend to check how many iU I get from each type, prices, offers on etc to decide where to get it from. Current batch is Forage Plus.
