TB is currently on speedy beet and calm and condition to put weight on. Thinking of leaving his shoes off (been off since September) is this diet OK for him?
A barefoot horse which is to be lightly worked needs a fibre based diet, with minerals and vitamins,Speedibeet is perfect, calm and condition NOT!
Feed micronised linseed instead of calm and condition, (one or poss 2 builders mugs per day).
Also feed pink powder as a really good balancer and probiotic.
If feet become sensitive add cal-mag.
If poos become stinky/slimey with spring grass, add charcoal "Happy Tummy"
Ad lib soaked hay too.
The above will build condition and weight and keep feet healthy (and not sensitive) and horse calm and happy.
Is this it? http://www.charnwoodmilling.co.uk/mail-order/Horse_Food.html
I've never fed it before, it says high energy, will it fizz him up? Is it just a mug off powder straight into the speedibeet?
Sorry 80mg of vitamin and mineralsA barefoot horse which is to be lightly worked needs a fibre based diet, with minerals and vitamins,
80gm of Equmins Advance powder.
