Spider has Alfa a, Baileys no 4 and Baileys outshine plus the above supplements (no joint sup though)

What do you feed?

Bally my old eventer evented off grass as she was a pig to find anything for her to eat when she was competing.
But I found Nesler Solid Gold whihc was small amounts and she would pick at that.

Winston when eventing is on D&H Ultimate Balancer/oats and electrolites/hoof supplement and joint supplement. Again i event him off grass.

For now tho he is on D&H Ultimate balancer, Hifi, SB and Bailey No 4, oil, joint and foot supplement.

Snoopy is on HiFi, Ultimate Balancer, oil and water.

My boy is Mr Fat of Fatsville, in the summer he gets a handful of alpha a, top spec anti-lam feed balancer and joint supplements. He is out at night and in during the day with a restricted 2lb hay net. He still manages to be slightly on the porky side though.

I do give him a bit of sugarbeet in the winter as he is out overnight and there isn't much grass.

Mines a porky beast in the summer, but gets lazy too! So not quite sure what to put him on over the summer now. Currently on 3x scoops of Alfa oil, 2x Ride and relax, Lo cal balancer and Linseed oil a day. May just feed Alfa Oil and Balancer in summer.....

Boss ran off 1/2 scoop pony nuts, 1/4 scoop oats and 1/2 scoop alfa-a twice a day during the summer at intermediate, he always had more than enough energy!!!

Mine and all the ones i work for including the 4 star horses run on alfalfa (simple sytems), unmollassed sugar beet and then lay off cubes if more energy needed. All look fab on it! They have an instant linseed, brewers yeast and seaweed supplement as well as garlic and oil but all do v well! Not into over feeding!

My TB events on 1 level scoop per day of Ride & Relax, 2 scoops HiFi lite and as much hay as he wants. He gets a prebiotic and nupafeed. When and if he needs to add condition he is fed milk powder. He is stables 24/7 all year for medical reasons (not ideal I know but better than a dead horse!) and has more than enough energy to do his job.

Unfortunately far too many horses are IMO over fed. What many feed companies class as medium work would, in the good old days, have been classed as light work!

Ours get readigrass, cool mix, and joint and hoof supplements. They have more than enough energy on this, and will be cut back when the grass starts to take off in the spring.
