Ok, have a filly who I suspect has a bit of a feed intolerance.
She is ok when being fed on Alfa Oil and Spillers horse and pony nuts. If I add oats her legs/feet go beserk. Problem is she really needs more oomph in her diet, she is getting to the stage where she should be on the Spillers HDF cubes, oats, and the alfa oil.
Here is a link to the nutritional info on the HDF cubes, anyone one know of a suitable feed with a similar breakdown?

Have you thought of using Tiger oats or Tops Spec flakes? Lower in starch but will provide more umph for him - The Spiller HDF cubes are over 20% starch - something with an intollerance should ideally be having 10% or less.
Hope this helps?

The HDF cubes dont have an excessively high level of starch have you tried her on these? spillers do a good slow release energy cube that is oil based (again use the cubes) have a look at that

Basically you will have to stay away from grains and stick to oil. The alpha a oil is therefore good. You can also add a bit of oil to her feed.

I think cubes will be better for her because they are lower starch as opposed to mix.

I never feed mix so no worries there, and she has a pint of oil added per day.
Are tiger oats the ones made by Equilibra? If so wont try them on the basis the local woman phones me up to talk sh't weekly.
I had a filly with an intolerance before and she couldnt handle the HDF, but was grand on oats.
It may be something else completely as of yet, just thinking out loud!

LOL! vici!!!
H did really well on the topspec flakes - they're not too expensive either - about £8 a sack something like that... H is on more slow release stuff being dressage - not umph of a racehorse - when she got a bit low on energy I used the tpsc flakes and they worked a treat!

Edited to say - you could always try soaking your oats - A lot on here swear by doing that - don't know if the soaking rids the oat of starch (but I imagine it could if you think about rice and pasta in a pan of water
