Poached from the Baileys website...

Compound Feed
A general term used to mean the fully balanced products that are produced as cubes or mixes to feed to horses alongside forage. Also referred to as concentrate or hard feed.
High Fibre

A high proportion of fibre (over 14%) in a particular concentrate ration. Common in low energy feeds.

so I suppose a high fibre pony nut (cube) would constitute a compound feed ?

So compound feeds are what go in the bucket?
So wouldnt chaff and sugarbeet count too? I so confused. Wish I hadn't started now but its annoying me....

Have a look on the Bailey Website..

http://www.baileyshorsefeeds.co.uk/feedingexplained/atoz.htm

They have a full glossary of terms/descriptions, might help
