I am trying to write up a feed chart to go on the wall so feed is easily made when I'm not there. Do any of you guys use one & any tips on keeping it simple. I am having a mental block (or a real blonde day) writing it up, I know what horse gets what feed but trying to do it into a chart/box format without having to write an essay for each horse - help/tips please.

We have a line (across) for each horse, then columns for "Feed am", "Feed pm", "Hay am", "Hay pm", "Rugs", and "Notes". Anything new/modified is written on in red initially.

Do it on a white board with wipe pens (can't remember name of them - gone blank!) and then you can wipe off horses if they are sold or leave the yard and make additions as and when you need to. I have a column going down to put in each horses name then make it a couple of inches thick and draw another line so it's all sectioned off - divide up into how many times you feed a day and you can add in all the feed, additives etc. If it has 1 scoop of Top Line. Just put 1x Top Line or 1x S-Beet get the gist?!

another good thing to add is what feed scoop your using for which feed! i have a few different sized scoops i use with my different feeds so either write the colour of the scoop or maybe write that feed in the matching coloured pen (works if you have blue, black, red or green scoops!)
