So Guys hows it going?????

My girly has stopped the weight loss although hasnt gained yet. Seems to be working quite well, and since ive taken her off her calmer too no signs of stressing out again-yet!
Not sure it gives her quite enough energy and she isnt keen on those little pellets as much.

Still im pleased im doing it!

Any others thoughts????
 
My boy certainly looks loads better, with the amount of feed I'm giving I thought it may have gone to his head but he seems relatively sane on it.

I'm pleased with it, he seems to like it so certainly one I will consider going forward.
 
I'm quite pleased with it (finally!) I've had to split it across 4 feeds (thank god I work from home and horses are nearby) but they're looking good. Not silly on it either which is a BIG bonus!

Funny you posted this today - I was wondering how we were all getting on!

I loved the feed, so did the horses, one thoroughbred one 3/4 thoroughbred. They have both had an alergic reaction to it. Gutted. I have started the epsm horse on it instead.
I discussed it when i rang the helpline and they suggested it wasn't the feed. We have 21 horses in the same field and two on the trial. The two on the trial had an alergic reaction after starting the trial and went a few days after they stopped but returned as soon as i tried again.
The EPSM horse is absolutely fine on it and is so much better in himself/movement.
The Thoroughbred looked like a map bless her. She had islands and seas all over her. I got some good pics to send off.
Wonderful feed though.
 
Just to add. Someone saw the EPSM horse yesterday and couldn't believe he was the same horse as he showed no sign whatsoever of any hint of lameness and was strideing out. Last year we thought the end had come as he couldn't get up. There is a reason for everything. The reason the two mare reacted was to give Rocky a chance.
 
Mine doesn't like it! She's no longer having the feeding arrangements we discussed over the phone, but it all bunged in her big bucket and she'll nibble over a 24 hour period, she's really not keen at all, and I always thought she'd eat gravel if it was placed in a feed bucket-simply because she's so greedy.

There's no weight gain as of yet but her coat's becoming lovely.

I'll warn you all now though, I found a pale blue/grey lump of plastic, a little like a wine cork with indentations in one of the bags last night, hubby said it's wadding/filling (something like that?) from a 12 bore cartridge....
 
Due to Alee being at the vets I have struggled to feed her it over the last week. She dropped off at the vets and then I went away for the weekend so she hasn't had it for the last week.
Just 4 days out at grass though and she looked great anyway!!!
I bought her in yesterday and fed her the daily ration ( I have been told it is safe to feed all in one go) and she just wasn't interested again I left her in for a couple of hours and she left about half. This happened when I first started feeding it.
I am still not convinced that its not making her a little hyper aswell but I'm going to carry on with it and see what happens. Her weight is the same now as before the trial so seeing as she lost loads at the vets that not bad going.
On the plus side her stools are now more solid and she certainly isn't as itchy as she has been which was one of the things they said could happen.
I am not 100% convinced that this is the best feed for a field kept horse that you can't feed in the field as it seems to be one that trickle feeds.
 
Me and my horse still love it although I agree she doesn't quite have enough energy, though as thats something I never ever thought I would be saying about my horse I think I'll be keeping her on it over the winter when she normally goes bonkers.

She's put on a bit of condition and a lot of topline - I've cut down to 1kg from 3kg because she looks just about right now. Very impressed

There is a lot to like about it, not perfect though.

Horse looks well, a definite improvement in coat condition, not sure if he has gained weight though.

Very pleased with his temprement on such a large volume of food, very level headed and I think his stamina has improved, although whether that would have happened as his work increased anyway I don't know.

It takes him 2 hours to eat his rations, and given that he gets through 1 sack every 3 days, from a time and cost effectiveness point of view it's not a feed I'll continue with, but aside from that I've been pleased with it.
 
My girl scoffed the lot when first offered it but then started leaving it part way through to go munch on hay which isnt like her....added a scoop of sugar beet and there hasnt been a problem since.

The only thing which annoys me about it is trying to get it into the scoop out of the feed bin....it just wont scoop and you end up shovelling it in with your hands....got a large piece of chop rammed up my nail when I did this though. Know its a trivial thing but when you are in a rush its annoying.

I believe it is very expensive....
