Need to give bute to a good doer.
All she gets is Formula 4 feet, so will need to get something to mix the bute with?

What would you do?

Thanks :)

Most cube type things can be soaked, I'd just bung a bit of hot water on and leave it to cool and turn to mush for a while before stirring up and feeding.

If you are using Formula for feet, I take it there is a laminitis issue with this horse.

If this is the case, I'd avoid carrots and such like which are too sugary for horses.

Because horses are sugarholic's they do like them though.

She can be difficult to get a syringe in, so will avoid syringing it in :)

Even if the F4F is dry, adding carrots she'd be able to eat around the granules.

Pale Rider - she's never had laminitis or been close to it. Spoke to farrier/vet and one thinks her weight is spot on and one thinks she's not bad, but getting some weight off wouldn't hurt either. I agree with the latter. Reason for the F4F is because her feet are terrible. She has really thin soles - and there's been a massive improvement since putting her on F4F, several months ago.

When I had to do the same I just put it in with a handful of Spillars happy Hoof - a bag at a handful a time will last you for AGES!

...as would Speedibeet.

I have to soak my boy's formula 4 feet or he won't eat it - just chews it then spits it out in a great plasticine like lump! I just bung some hot water on and it dissolves in a couple of minutes. So could work with the bute added? :)
