Hey, need your help?
whats the difference between dengie hi-fi and dengie alfa-a? and whats the difference between competition mix, build up and pasture mix?
thanx x

the ingredients!

I think competition mix is a bit more heating than build up and pasture mix although if you go onto their website they should list ingredients!

Try having a look on the Dengie site

Hi fi is made of mainly straw and hay with some alfa alfa mixed in, whilst dengie alfa-a is just alfa alfa. The hi fi is a low energy chaff whereas alfa-a is richer so more suited either to replace mixes or for horses in hard work.

Competition mix is moderately high energy and heating, for horses in hard work or that need abit more energy. Build up is for underweight horses to help them gain weight without getting fizzy. Pasture mix is an allround mix for horses in light to medium work to provide them with vitamins, minerals and a medium amount of energy (not as much as competition mix).
