What would everyone be feeding a 2/rising 3 in April?
He’s a good-doer, but obviously don’t want to be missing out on any essential vitamins and minerals

They don’t really need anything youngstock specific at that age so just a standard balancer or multivitamin with a carrier like chaff or unmolassed sugar beet.

My current youngster will be 2 next year so is on nurture pro balancer this winter, I’ll change him over next summer. Possibly looking at either a progressive earth or simple systems balancer at that point.

I’m more concerned with making sure that they get enough decent quality forage at that age.

My 2.5 years is on a bit of speedi beet and chaff alongside good hay. The basis should be fibre. He only gets the beet as my older horse gets it and I put a little dod in his feeds. You don’t want a hungry youngster- lots of hay as a basis.

I always feed a balancer I like spillers lite or Feedmark benevit
Then a little chaff with it
Bulk of the diet is grass/ hay
