My little dressage mare is schooling 3/4 times a week for 30-40 minutes and a short hack about once a week (hoping to up this as she's getting more confident out on her own). She's coming on really well and I'm thrilled with her but she's lacking energy. She's on limited grass because she bloats badly on it and soaked hay at night, again because of bloating. I'm looking for a feed to just up her energy a bit without adding extra pounds. At the moment she's on a scoop of hi-fi and baileys lo-cal balancer split between two feeds.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You might find that the lack of impulsion is more down to fitness issues and lack of balance.

Some youngsters find it very difficult to move forward freely and can seem quite lazy. Upping her feed might just blow her brain!

Try encouraging the impulsion by increasing the number and length of hacks and the speed to go on them....
