Hi everyone, just after some opinions on whether you would still be feeding a balancer to a youngster during the Spring/Summer months? Or will he be getting everything he needs from the grass?
Bit of background info - he is 10 1/2 months old, Shire x TB colt currently living out 24/7 and growing like a weed (currently standing at about 14h and expected to make around 17.2). They have just moved fields about a month ago so grass is very good and lots of it!
At the moment he is being fed a cup full of Spillers Grow 'n' Win mixed with a handful of chaff but wondering if I should stop the feed until winter time? I want to make sure he's getting everything he needs but also don't want to over feed and affect his growth in anyway!
Thanks!
