My Fell X 3 year old is a very good doer, but kept in check with regular in-hand exercise. Her feet are excellent and I intend to keep them that way!
She gets a very small feed of unmolassed beet each evening mainly to carry her vits&mins supplement, but also to give her a reason to live...

I've just found out my feed merchant stocks CoolFibre which I'm really tempted to try as I like the health benefits of coconut. Please could the nutritionally minded cast your eyes over this and tell me if it would be an improvement (or not) over her meagre beet:

This is the Equibeet data to compare:

Thankyou!

If you're just feeding a small amount as a carrier then I'd stick to the beet. Which ever you choose it won't make much of a difference fed in such small amounts.

If she is sound and feet are excellent it sounds as if the beet is doing her well.

The only reason I would question your interest in coolstance is whether you need such a high fat content feed for a good doer. The benefits of coconut oil are many but it is still ever so fattening! I know it doesn't look like much but 5% fat is still quite a lot...

Then again, the analysis seems well balanced so you could replace your vits and mins... Seems an expensive way to do things and you would need to get your calculator out and work out how much to feed to get what you are getting currently with your vits n mins.

However, it is your decision, personally I would only use coolstance for something that needed condition and it doesn't look as if you need any more of that :D

This is what I was wondering. I know coconut is good stuff, but that's all I know!
Poor baby, stuck with her boring beet then..

Well, my 2 yo gets a similar diet... she does get a bit bored by it but adding a teaspoon of salt, mint, grated carrot n apple n left over veg usually gets her excited about it again. You could even add other herbs or even dandelions to make it more interesting ;)
