Feeding a joint sup before there's a problem

Hello,
I have a 14 year old horse with mild bone spavin who has a joint supplements which contains glucosamine and MSM. I also have a 6 year old who I do a lot of schooling on and I was wondering if it would do him any harm to have it too? They both live out and do swap and change between feeds- so it would hopefully mean the mare gets her full dose too!
Your thoughts?

Certainly no harm. I personally give all my horses a joint supp regardless of age, I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry

I was thinking that- and at least it should mean they both get their full dose...glad someone else does it too!

I give the shire x one purely because he's such a big lad! Currently giving him superflex xx
