I have a 12 year old ID xTB, he doesn't suffer with any joint problems or stiffness, but I've recently been told that I should still feed him a joint supplement as a preventative measure. Does anyone else do this?
If you are worried there's a good product on the market at the moment from Equine America, it's a glucasamine supplement and its mark priced at £13.99 at the moment, I dont know if thats a trial price or not but its a good price for you to give it a go. The tub lasts for 40 days, of course there is a loading dose originally but after the first tub it should work out pretty cheap to feed from then on and will at least put your mind at rest that your horse is having something that certainly wont do him any harm.
hi, Just about to finish tub of the £13.99 glucosamine and MSM by Equine America. Definitely no worse on it than the Cortaflex.. He is supposed to be retired but doesnt want to retire just yet. He is supposed to be taking it steady (till we are on the beach-then cant hold him) Is hopping lame on soft going, but sound on the firm, roads and wet beach!! He damaged lilgaments in his stifle 18 months ago and have mainly used cortaflex and cod liver oil. Have found his hocks bit better (arthritic changes on xray) For £14 would definitely give it a go!!!!!!!!!!!!
