I've got a TB who is fairly hardy and thus far has managed well rugged in a lightweight turnout with no hard feed, but ad lib hay. She is out 24/7 and isn't in work as recovering from an abscess.

She has dropped a bit of weight since the weather turned a bit colder, and while she is by no means skinny, she needs a bit of help for the next two or three months.

So, what to feed? I am used to hardy native types and haven't had to hard feed for years!

Something like fast fibre would be a good start, perhaps with linseed in it, probably the cheapest way and not too much feed!

alfa oil linseed speedibeet and grass nuts or alfalfa pellets soak the grass nuts and speedibeet together and mix to the right dampness with the alfa oil and linseed

My tb got what my natives got....just more as required. High fibre feed...speediest and high fibre cubes on top of ad lib hay and or grass :)

My friends 20 year old goes well on simple systems Lucerne nuts and pruabeet and when grass really bad grass nuts and he is looking amazing and is in light work. 1/2 hacks a week mainly walk
