I am just looking for whats out there and what would best suit my horse. (for next winter mostly)

He is currently fed on Allen and Page Veteran Vitality with some pony and horse mix.

He is doing fine on this at the moment just wanting to see what people think is the best feed out there at the moment.

He is a 23 year old 16.3hh ID x TB and is regular work being ridden several times a week either hacking or schooling with some but not much jumping. Has nice weight at the moment.
He doesn't eat much hay at night lately but I think that's due to how good the grazing is at the current time.

If he is doing fine on it I would not change. There is only a need to change a horses diet when they are struggling. My 22 year old is not on a veteran feed

Just me humble opinion! !

Agree (opinion not so humble, LOL) - if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

I probably worded it badly. I'm not looking to change his feed just looking for people's opinions on what's the best out there. I've had him on this for the past year and I have been happy with it and also had a past horse on the 16+ mix but I don't really know what other veteran feeds are out there.

My 27 yr old TB is on Veteran vitality and is doing very well on it although i sometimes think he's prefer something with a bit of crunch he has good teeth for his age and doesn't need porridge so I add some carrots!

Mine has just turned 21, ridden 4-6 times a week hacking and schooling. Compete once or twice a month, occasional fun rides.
She has Dengi Alfa-A (although potentially looking to change to spillers glucosamine, seems like a better texture chaff), Feedmark Benevit Advance, d&h 16 plus and turmeric. Mixed with speedibeet.
She's doing great, looks really well, healthy coat and since having the turmeric has been full of beans!

Guinness doesn't like it just being sloppy either so I add some horse and pony mix (he seems to struggle with chaff)

This mix he does well on. He is barefoot and still in a decent amount of work so this plus good hay keeps weight on him, he is not a good doer.

Senior fibre is a chaff, veteran vitality is a mash. If I give him a just mash he eats too quick and I worry about choke or colic so the fibre adds texture as well as calories and glucosamine etc.

I have played about with his diet for years as he is cereal intolerant, this works so I will stick with it :)
