Hi,
Can anyone give me advice as to what to feed my mare? When I first got her she wasn't on hard feed. She was a little underweight and didn't have any muscle. She didn't have accsess to grass with her previous owners. She looks much better now since I've had her and she's been on grass.
She's a 6YO ISHXTB, she is worked 5-6 days a week, a mixture of lungeing, in hand walks, hacking on the roads (quite hilly). She is mostly out 24/7 with good grass, Occasionly comes in overnight where she will be given a big haynet. she has 2 feeds a day (recomended by my YO before I started doing all the work with her) a handful of happy hoof and garlic. She has carrots as a treat but not often.
I want to build muscle on her, but without making her sharp and fizzy. she is at a much better weight now, photos are in my albulm the first picture was only taken at weekend.
