Having only ever had much bigger dogs than Rory the terrier I want to be very certain that I feed him right - not too much, not too little! The woman who found him gave me about a week's supply of the feed that he has been on since she found him. She was feeding him twice a day and he has put on weight since she found him but I am concious that I don't want him to go overweight. He is currently 6.6kgs and was thought to be about 6kgs when he was found. he has been getting 3/4 of a cup twice a day. The feed he is on is one of the Gain range, I am very familiar with the products and know that the Gain Greyhound 20 (for resting greyhounds) is a lovely feed and I always had Boots on it. Would this be suited to a terrier or too much? it is 20% protein and very palatable. Raw is not an option unfortunately as I need something that can easily be transported due to us being on the road alot! Any suggestions?

If you are feeding a dry food always go for one with a high meat content and a low grain. I never feed dry but do feed a lot of terriers and they get one meal a day (as I write they are telling me it is grub time!) I feed according to how they are looking, how much exercise they have had. Suggest that if he is getting to heavy then you cut back or cut out a meal. Play it by looks.
