Does anyone know if i can just purchase aloe vera from health food shop ???I have been advised by my vet to feed as it's my boys second virus in a few months .Its £20 in local saddlery for a small bottle was wondering if better off getting it fron holland and barrett

I use hunman grade Aloe Vera for my horses. I was lucky enough to find 3 indate litre bottles at a boot fair going cheap but I usually pay £10-£12 for a litre bottle (look online) and add a splash to 2 of mine's feeds.
You could also try using turmeric which is a powerful anti oxidant and anti bacterial; it needs to be fed with cold pressed oil (coconut , extra virgin olive or micronised linseed) and freshly ground pepper to enable and maximise absorbtion in the gut. It is great for detoxing and particularly for arthritis, cancer to name a couple of complaints it helps. There is a facebook user group called the Turmeric user group - I would recommend joining that to read the informative files of advice and information.
