Potentially been offered an older lady for full loan. She is absolutely wicked! Safe as houses, wants to be loved but full of beans. I went to try her yesterday and she was offering flying changes and half pass at every opportunity!
She is late teens and a fairly good doer but I've never had an oldie before so was wondering what you feed your older people? Joint supplements/balancers? She's 17.1, TB x and will be mainly for hacking, showing and odd dressage test.

I'm properly in love with her!

If she is in good condition, and a good doer, then feed has as you would any other horse, although I'd probably ensure she had an adequate supply of vits & minerals, and add brewers yeast to aid digestion.

Ask what she's getting now, might want to add a joint supplement depending on what she's being fed currently, if it aint broke .......
