apologies, my caps won't work...........

i've just put two of my horses on to happy tummy charcoal.
one does quite wet droppings, no matter what he is fed, is very healthy and happy otherwise but i thought i would try it and his poo's are now firmer and not as 'juicy'.

the second horse is 23yrs old, and although his droppings are fine he was very windy. again, after a week on charcoal the wind has subsided and he seems more cheerful in himself.

my question is, if anyone has fed charcoal did you need to keep them on it permanently, or did you find that the initial feeding settled any problems and you could then stop feeding it

I have fed Happy Tummy for several years now. I keep mine on it when they are getting hard feed and also spring grass. They tend to have a break from it if they are not fed over the summer. It is brilliant stuff, settles them and this winter is helping a mare who has gastric ulcer syndrome be much happier.

Ive bought some for my horse who shows ulcer type symptoms (he windsucks and cribs) but he def not got loose droppings and the last thing I want to do it make him compacted! Would this be recommended to use?
