I have been advised to feed copper to my horse to give him more life when jumping. He has a placid nature, is quite fit and is of a reasonable weight. Has anyone used copper or have any thoughts/ideas about it? Thanks
no idea with horses in pigs used as a growth aid, but must be very careful in sheep as can poision the liver and be fatal, so take proffessional help as to feed amounts.
Depends on where you are. Some parts of the country are deficient in copper. The farm my oh used to manage was and the cattle (but not the sheep) needed a copper bolus twice a year or they started to look really lacklustre. Maybe do a soil test before you go further
