My daughter asked a question im unsure of the answer to!

We were pulling grass for my horse on box rest and she asked if she could use
"grandpa's giant scissor things" to cut loads in one go or was this the same as feeding lawn mower clippings (which she knows never to do!)
I wasnt sure- I figure probably not as its blade cut but on the other hand would literally be chopped and eaten in minutes?

I would imagine that freshly hand cut grass would be fine as is very different to lawn mower cuttings, as has no chance to ferment.

Yes that's fine, lawn mower cuttings are not.

I worked on an event yard where they were desperate to get weight onto one of the horses which wouldn't eat anything. Us working pupils had to take turns going out and pulling up enough grass to fill a net! Darn horse still wouldn't eat it though...!
