I am unsure on what's best to feed my new 8 month old. He's currently on sugabeet and pony nuts with the breeder at the moment. I want him to get the best nutrition for growth etc, can anyone recommend? Thanks

I would call a few of the horse feed manufacturers, and ask their advice, or if you have a decent helpful feed merchants go in there and browse the bags with someone knowledgeable from the shop.

Get yourself a weigh tape so you can feed him accurate amounts of feed.

Our 8 month old was on Baileys Stud Balancer until recently, we are moving her onto D & H Suregrow.

Hi, we got baileys local nutrionist to come out and look at ours as our grass is designed for dairy cows! It was free and although obviously not entirely unbiased advise but incredibly helpful and taylor made - we've had no growth issues and the mares have tended to produce enormous foals so this could have been an problem. you can contact most of the big feedfirms via their sites. hope this helps
