My showjumper is currently on a pastor recently mix and Allen and page power and performance he is away for five days competing and feel this may not be enough to keep his energy levels up forward going and can get quite fizzy was thinking of changing to turbo flakes ? Anybody else have any thoughts

Your post isn't massively clear but I think you are saying currently fed pasture mix + power and performance but thinking of adding/changing to turbo flakes (I assume you mean top spec turbo?)

Given you have a fizzy horse I would advise cutting the pasture mix, replacing/upping quantity of power & performance and giving the turbo a miss.

Don't change or add to feeds before a big competition - you risk colic. Feeding both pasture mix and P&P is a bit of a contradiction as you have a barley free feed and a feed with barley in it! Both are complete feeds designed for different things - so I would agree with the above and ditch the pasture mix. If during the show you feel a bit more is needed then increase the amount of P&P at the same time as splitting into more meals. Don't just increase the volume of one meal - it will go straight through. I always feed micronised linseed at home so I can increase that at a major show - horses tolerate increased amounts really well and it is good slow release energy without fizz. But if the show is less than 4 - 6 weeks away I would not add anything new now.
