feeding for growth

Want to make sure my youngster grows as much as possible. Will it make any difference what i feed her??? Apart from steroids!!!!! (only joking

) She is having chaff , pony nuts and tops spec balancer. She is rising three and i would love it if she grew another couple of inches but vet and trainer think it unlikely as she looks quite mature in her body shape already?????

feeding will not affect final height - unless they are starved when very young, what it will do is determine the speed of growth, overfed youngstock tend to grow in fits and starts which can cause all sorts of problems...what breed is she?? some do not finish growing until 6 or 7 years of age

I'd just keep feeding her what she's already getting - only thing you could change is the balancer to D&H Suregrow which is the same thing, but for youngsters and way cheaper!

Blimey just looked it up thats loads cheaper

It certainly is - I seem to remember someone else on here saying that they'd spoken to D&H and you could use it on all horses, no matter what their age (might need to check that though

)
