Last year i gave the yearlings baileys outshine but micronised linseed was suggested to me and i was advised that this was better than outshine?
What do you all feed for outstanding coat shine?

Boiled linseed on the inside and never ending elbow grease on the outside

. My Grandad used to feed orange peel to get shiney coats and for some reason it worked

Mine gets a handful of happy hoof and half a handful of cool mix. With my TB I used to add a glob of oil, but Genie doesn't need it. Then a good bath before a show and we're away!

I use "Summer Shine / Winter Glow" I think its global herbs but i am having a blonde moment..... But my mare has a fab shinny coat, even now and she is unclipped and living out!

Hilton Herbs "thrive and shine" is another good one.

Ours get lots of Vegetable oil, much cheaper than Linseed and they are also fed Seaquim Elite which is a seaweed supplement. They had shiny coats anyway from the oil as they are show horses, but the seaweed moved it on to a whole other level.
It's about 25 euro for a 20kg bag and my lot get a (measured because it's not good to overdose it) cupful of it once a day so it lasts for ages. Can't recommend it enough.

A TB on my yard is on Copra, that coconutty soaked mash feed from Australia, which is high in fat and used to keep the weight on poor doers. It gives him a gorgeous coat, not only shiny but so soft as well! Everything takes twice as long with him, because I can't go in his stable without stopping for a cuddle.

i use simple systems feeds!! there brilliant google them.they do instant linseed in a meal form.my racehorse has been on it and its amazing!! she is gleaming after a 8kg bag that cost £14 and lasted 2 months! its all natural and registerd with the vegan society so no harsh toxic by products that are in conventional feeding supplaments.i highly reccomend them.
