My tb x is lacking a bit of 'oomph' in his work. He's very obedient but as springy in his work anymore (he's now 16 and finally chilling out)
He has a scoop of baileys no. 17 with apple hi-fi, linseed meal, and speedibeet split between two feeds as well as ad-lib haylage at night and grass during the day
He's now got a loaner as well so his work load has been increased a bit (schooled 5 times a week, plus usually 1 lunging session and maybe a hack - though we often have a quick hack to warm up or cool down)
What could I feed to make him a bit more energetic? Would rather not change his chaff as it takes up a whole bin and I've got limited space and my other horses can all have his as well (plus he's very partial to the apple flavour)
Thanks
