So my collie x GSD has put on some weight.
Have lectured partner about giving her extras as he regularly gives her all manner of junk (pitta bread, sausage ends, cereal etc
)
So I thought I should weight her food based on the feeding guideline.
She is on CSJ Lamb lite.
According to the bag, a 'less active' 23kg (her ideal weight) dog should be on 300g.
I weighed out 300g and it's loads! Much more than she currently gets.
So now I'm perplexed.
If I feed her 300g, then I'm sure she will put on weight. Or certainly not lose any.
Yet if I feed the amount I think she should be having, which would be more around 200g, then does that mean she will not be getting the right amount of nutrients etc that she needs?
Debating just popping her back on raw for a few months because somehow it's easier
