Feeding hay - for a 16hh

Does any one have a 16hh horse? - how much/many hay/haynets do you give at night if being in stable during the night? as i dont know are only use to a little 13.2hh!!!

i give my 16.1 tb one xl haynet stuffed to the brim and he gets through about 3/4 of it by the morning. would rather him have enough than have nothing for half the night. looks really good on it too!

[/ QUOTE ] Depends on how tightly the hay is packed and the size of the haynet! Best bet is to buy yourself a spring balance (very inexpensive) to weigh your nets with.
 
It would depends on lots of things ie, size of your haynet, whether your horse is overweight, underweight, a big eater, how long he will be in for, quality of hay etc but I would aim to give him at least twice as much as your pony (again, depending on above factors) and probably no less than 4 of your average sized wedges hay.
Try it for a night and if there is nothing left then put more in
