Hello,
I am wanting to know what I should be feeding my 15.1 Cob x ISH, she currently weighs around (600kg) which is overweight for her and I am working on getting her weight down.
For info I have a 14.3 Cob with recovering lami/EMS who is on 6kg of soaked HAY a day. I do have the option to put her in a smaller turnout paddock with little to no grass and have been limiting her to 30mins to 1 hour.
I have been bringing the Cob x ISH in from the field at 7am in the Morning which she has a 2kg net of haylage and another 2kg of haylage again at 1pm. When I get to the farm from work at around 5pm I then either ride or lunge her and turn her out again.
Is 4kg of unsoaked haylage too much or should I have her on hay instead or just drop the kg?
