Tont, a 13hh cob, is currently overweight, which I'm trying hard to change but he's lost quite a bit since I got him.
At the moment, he's getting a large pile of hay morning and night (as the fields are covered in snow.
In his feed at night, he has:
1 and 1/2 mugs of baileys lo-cal;
2 cups of Fast Fibre;
A double handful of chaff;
And his breathing supplement and mint.
The problem is, the lady I keep him with wants to feed in the morning. She wants to give him the same feed as the other three, as it doesn't matter who gets which bowl (picture a 68 year old women struggling up a hill with four feed bowls and four horses fighting over them).
She feeds a double handful, and a quarter of a stubbs scoop of calm and condition.
Does what I'm feeding him already sound ok, and would the calm and condition harm his weight too much?
Thank you, Nicole
