Right as most of you know i bought a 14 month old recently gelded horse, got him home this morning and weighed and measured him hes 14hh and weight tape shows 150cm. Where we got him from he hadn't been turned out on grass from being 6 months old as they had no where safe so he only went out in a school she replaced his grass witha feed of chop, ponynuts ready grass and hayledge now with us we have unlimited turnout very safe now he isnt a colt he looks really well at min and i know i cnt chuck him straight out on the grass (gunna take it steady increasin time out etc) so do i keep him on this feed as she filled a trug full of it for him every day

If he's getting increased grass now I probably wouldn't feed him too much - give him some stud balancer / D&H Suregrow with a bit of chaff and hay whilst he's in. Once he's had a few weeks on the grass he'll have put on a good bit of weight!
