I'm looking to try to buy oil in large containers to make it a bit cheaper, what is the best type to buy? Currently using Dodson and Horrell soya oil but its working out quite expensive, is vegetable oil, or corn oil just as good?
I'm using it as an energy source rather than just for coat/skin etc

Thanks

The shelf life of any liquid oil is relatively short, so unless you are feeding it to several horses you may be better looking at micronised linseed instead - a large sack is about £25 inc delivery.

Thanks showjumper4, this is what I'm hoping to do. I'm feeding 7 so getting through quite a bit, already buying so know they are all eating it was just wondering what the best type was. Friend who buys for local pub can get me 20 litre drums but can get veg oil, corn oil, or sunflower oil, was wondering which would be best

We were advised by our vet to use vegetable oil, still seem to get through the big bottles from Sainsburys quite quickly though!
