My 14.2hh pony is a very good doer. He is also prone to Laminitis as he had a small mild case of it a a couple of years ago. He is currently living out 24/7 and is fed a handful of Alfa A Oil and 2 cups of Baileys Lo-Cal Balancer which he does very well on throughout the winter when he is living in at night. However, now he is living out I feel he is sometimes lacking in energy when ridden and am wondering if there is any competition mix/working horse and pony cubes which I could feed him to provide him with extra sparkle without the fat. He is worked 5-6 days a week and his exercise varies from hacking between 1 - 3 hours, schooling and Dressage and Show Jumping Competitions.

Any advice much appreciated. :)

Have you tried Top Spec Anti Lam?
As he is prone to laminitis I would suggest you have a chat with feed companies & see what they advise for that extra sparkle. Competition mixes tend to be quite sugary so I think you need to be careful what you choose especially with the spring grass.
