Feeding soup?

I know this is a odd question. Would it be ok to feed left over soup to young adult Shetlands?

As the winter approaches my mum will often make homemade soup and there's often leftovers after a couple of days which she pores down the toilet. Instead of this would it ok to give to my 3 Shelties?, Of course I wouldn't give them anything that had onions/ tatties/ broccoli/ cauliflower/ ham/ bacon or meat stock cube/.

But surely soup has most of the ingredients you have listed otherwise it would be tasteless without onions and stock, personally I wouldn't feed soup to ponies I would do what ester says and freeze it for myself

Both freezers all ways full of stuff ester.

The problem is that it's just me and her now, Dad passed away in 2002 and my sister left the house about 7 years ago and then my brother about 2 years ago. She's all ways made big meals and set in her ways, there's no room to store the left overs as the fridge freezer/ big freezer/ walk in cupboard are full. I just thought instead of her chucking it I could take it to my Shelties. She did carrot soup last weekend but she put cream in it so didn't want to risk giving it to the pony's

I just thought to ask you folks if it would ok to feed soup if it didn't have anything they can't have in it.

Now I just want to come round for tea! I'm just aghast at nice soup going down the loo :eek3: I think as long as it doesn't have any 'no' ingredients I am sure they would finish it up for you.

Thank's ester. It's mad with amount of food we have, I've had to give the odd thing to nextdoor as nears out of date. She also insists on getting long life milk in the winter incase we get snowed in for a week or two, that hasn't happened since I was a wee lad .

I'm sure it would be fine to give them "safe soup" but just wanted to ask as I'm still a bit of a greenhorn to pony ownership. Hear's pics of them just a day ago, Darren, Jack, Ruby.
