My Clydesdale mare is currently fed ad lib hay and haylage, plus a scoop of speedi beet, a scoop of alfalfa, and a scoop of hi-fi twice daily. Added to this she has 2 scoops of NAF pink powder twice a day. Just started on the powder, so can't say what effect if any there is. My question is, can I also give her NAF general purpose supplement at the recommended 2 scoops twice a day? Would this benefit her, or is it unnecessary overkill? My understanding is that the pink powder is for the digestive system, and the GP is what it says on the tin.
I know I could check the ingredients in each, but TBH, it's frying my synapses trying to figure it out! :D
Thanks in advance, from a real numpty!

Had this discussion at the yard earlier! From what I can understand, pink powder is a probiotic, so you can feed a vit/min supplement with it. YO's horses are on balancer and pink powder, and they do well.

Sure someone who knows more will be able to expand though!

They are basically the same, there would be no point feeding both. If you need a specific vitamin or mineral you would be better off getting it separately.

Pink powder is sold as a balancer, this should mean you need nothing else, it is also a digestive aid with probiotics anyone feeding it and a balancer will be wasting money and the horse will have to secrete the extra from its system.

Thank you, I know, I need words of two syllables or less ( or pictures!) I guess I'll save my cash then. Pink powder it is! :D
