I have a 16hh TB gelding. Currently out 24/7 on grass with some hay daily, fed Copra at the moment.

In winter he usually stays out 24/7 but with a lot more hay and he is fed copra, kwikbeet and linseed. If he stays in it is the same but with extra hay.

Although this feed is 'okay' and he doesn't do too badly on it I would like to see a bit more weight on him and some more energy. He is naturally very laid back so I know I will never change this side of him but just want to give him a little boast without the spooky energy - this is the main issue I have with him if I get the lovely forwardness that I covet it also comes with stupid silly spookiness!

I am very into my barefoot and 'healthy' feeding so would like to stick to no molasses and low sugar/starch.

Also to add he does crib!

I feed mine alpha a oil, rolled oats and top spec ulsakind (tb, also cribs, not ulcers). I tweak the oats depending on weight and the ulsakind depending on how much energy he needs (less at the moment), also fed yea sacc, linseed, joint supplement and seaweed. I can't feed anything wet, prefers cubes and won't eat more than once a day. Have tried ers pellets, calm and condition, sugarbeet, speedibeet, cool condition cubes, outshine among others and all either increased the cribbing or he became stupid :)
