Feeding tb's

Just mollichop, more as a token feed than anything! He has plenty of beans at the moment without need for anything else haha.

He seems to be a very good doer for an ex racehorse so I think I'm lucky in that respect!

In summer he has barley too

Mine just gets Healthy Tummy (1 and a half scoops in each feed), his joint supplement and Ad-lib soaked hay.

Uuuuummmmm well the 2 that live out have ad lib haylage and a handful of Hifi and Barley a day.

I'll keep shtum about what my 2 indoor tb's get fed :D

As much fibre as possible!

Adlib hay then two feeds of Speedibeet & soaked grass nuts, Spillers high fibre nuts, micronized linseed, biotin, brewers yeast and soya oil.

I have a very poor doer and having tried numerous conditioning feeds, the above is the only feed that will maintain a healthy weight.

Topspec cool balancer, hifi molasses free. Ad lib hay (although on box rest so gone off it) and a bucket of graze on day & night. She's getting there weight wise atm! Luckily she's a warm girl with a warm stable so I'm lucky in that aspect too!

mine has 24/7 access to a meadow hay roll as there is not a lot of pasture in his paddock.

He gets 2 had feeds a day. He gets 1/2 a bucket of oaten chaff, a scoop of Coprice P and 60g of Livamol per feed. Once a day he also gets 50g of Equimin (mineral suppliment).

Lucerne Chaff, Oats and a good multi vit. Ad lib hay as its a drough here at the moment.

Best thing I have tried for keeping him in good condition and it doesn't heat him up.

Both TB's (ex racers) get 2 scoops of mollichaff original, a scoop of Allen & Page Calm and Condition and a mug of Baileys Outshine twice a day. Adlib hay at night and turnout everyday. Looking good and quite manageable riding wise.

Speedibeet, micronised linseed, conditioning cubes, ad lib haylage. Swapping onto rolled oats instead of conditioning cubes and adding a min/vit supplement soon :)

Ad lib haylage

split between 2 feeds a day

2 scoops speedibeet
2 scoops alfa a oil
2 cups linseed
1 scoop forage plus hoof balancer

Looks good but could do with tad more weight but only just coming back into work from winter off so lacking muscle, rising 5, 16.2

She's well beefed up now so to maintain that she gets a scoop of dengie hi-fi,a dry scoop of calm of condition and then soaked, and a cup of outshine in every feed. When shes not getting much work we take her off outshine and she goes onto sugarbeet :)

Whatever they'll eat!

Now if I did that mine would happily supplement his diet with a Nokia phone and sandwiches and flapjacks nicked from my bag.

At previous yard

Ad lib hay/haylage at all times

Speedibeet
Copra
Bran
Oats if in hard work.
Linseed
Brewers Yeast
minerals

At current yard as above but no speedibeet as calcium levels are too high.

Below in 2 feeds (morning and night):

1/2 Scope Saracens Releve
1 Scope Speeibeet
1 small scoop Brewers Yeast
1 cup Micronized Linseed

With ad lib haylage

My two boys are both barefoot so I'm quite careful about sugar/starch.

Rascal is 15 and in light (3-4 times a week for 45min app) work, he struggles to hold weight and if fed too much can get quite 'enthusiastic' about his work, he's also ridden by novices so we have to be careful. He gets the following twice a day.
1/2 scoop speedibeet
1/2 scoop Hi-Fi Molasses free
1 large mug KeyFlow KeyPlus rice bran (approx 200g)
1 mug linseed (approx 100g)
365Complete supplement.

Indy is in harder work (5-6 times a week for an hour) and is a really fussy eater, he won't eat beet or 'wet' feeds, and can't have too much alfalfa as it makes him footy.
1 scoop Hi-Fi Molasses free
1/2 scoop KeyFlow Stay Cool mix
1 large mug keyFlow KeyPlus rice bran.
1/2 mug linseed
365Complete supplement.

Really, really pleased with how they look and feel, and with how easily they are gaining muscle. I'm feeding less feed than I have previous winters, yet they look and feel better. And it's costing me less money. Win.

Havens slobbermash 3 times a day winter
Havens slobbermash 2 times a day spring and autumn
Havens slobbermash 1 time a day summer

Lots of haylage I mean lots I have never seen a horse shift so much
Oats , linseed, speedibeet , mixed with a little chopped straw.

One is on ad lib hay and nothing else - all year round, lives out, and is fat as a pig. The other is on ad lib hay, a scoop of Mollichaff Showshine, a half scoop of Speedibeet, a half scoop of Red Mills Cool N Cooked Mix and a glug of corn oil twice a day, and looks fantastic. I'm often stopped by people wanting to know how I get him so shiny!
