Do I have to mix the oil in the bug container first I am using global herbs tumeric or out the required amount in feed then add the oil ?, I have used the myoplast for the last couple of moths and not showing any signs of being different time to try the tumeric

I use micronized linseed so that goes in the feed, then the freshly ground black pepper (don't forget the pepper) and then the turmeric. The one it made the most difference to here (DJD) took a couple of months to show an effect so don't give up too soon!

I'm just using bog standard veg oil, cos he was getting it anyway at the vet's suggestion.

Only been using it for three weeks and can see an improvement already.

Soya oil and veg oil are inflammatory . You will get more effects from feeding coconut, extra virgin olive oil or linseed , either micronised or oil. Dont forget the fresh ground lack pepper every time aswell . I hope it works for you . I have take it and various critters for a year .

I use ground linseed and pepper added to feed with the turmeric. Seems to help my old girl and my sister's veteran. My mare is 19 with athritis, possible sacro issues caused by her long standing hind leg tendon injury for which she is retired. She was on 2 bute a day and I was getting very concerned for her future. Switched her onto Equine America Super Fen and then also the turmeric and WOW! one old girl off her bute all together and so much improved she could probably be lightly hacked again if either of us so wished...we don't!

Global herbs one is a bit pointless as the pepper has to be freshly ground and consumed within 20 minutes to be effective (or suspended in oil or alcohol). Probably lots cheaper to use separate ingredients.

equitop myoplst is basically spirulina with added sugars so ditch that and buy plain spirulina :)
its mainly for top line and muscle development but turmeric is mainly for anti inflammatory and pain relief purposes so two very different supplements.

5g turmeric, 8 shakes of ground black pepper, add to whatever oil base (i use micro linseed), bit of water to mix then add to feed. play around with the dose of turmeric some horses respond to more, some less.

Using something with top dressing (such as alfalfaoil) is not suitable to make the mix but can still be fed as normal feed with the turmeric mix then added to it. Nowt wrong with soya oil added to the forage, i also use some extruded soya as well as the alfalfaoil but not much, i bulk up with the micro linseed which is a better balanced oil. My horse had ulcers and has no ill effects from the soya but wouldnt use that much anyway :) linseed he has up to 1kg a day in depth of winter (soya barely 200g)

Thanks :). Didn't want to cancel out the benefits of the Tumeric mix with the soya oil coated chop
