Is it necessary to feed a vit / mineral supplement if you are mainly feeding chaff / beet?
My pony has 1 scoop of alfa oil A along with alfa beet and just a sprinkle of pony nuts (Alongside ad lib hay)
My horse (arriving tomorro!) will be having 1 scoop hi-fi with a handful of nuts twice a day (and ad lib hay)
Both live out. I do buy pasture licks but wonder if i should be adding vitamins to their feed on top.
