Hi, currently have a very marish mare during the summer months, have had her on naff oestress, brewers yeast, Bailey's no 4 and Alf Alfa. The Naff oestress has helped regulate her season and she is happy and behaved in the field and stable but she is still unfocused and spooky when ridden which has resulted in a very unsuccessful competition session of sj, hunter trails, and O.D.E, have done a little reading and thinking about switching to A&P power and performance??? Can anyone help with advice on feeding etc for this situation. She is a good doer so to speak with having half cob in her an other half is holstien.

Stay off cereal feeds, feed her a fibre diet, with no sugars at all, my young horse is sharp and can be spooky since changing her diet heaps better!!! and she is a good doer, doesnt need more energy or stamina she has alfa beet soaked, pony nuts and good old fashioned bran, splash corn oil the right feed is so important if you feel that he needs more energy i would then look into the feeds your thinking about xx
