Feeding

Just like to know if someone can help my mare she had a foal 6 months ago but she's loseing weight I'm feeding her condiction mix speedybeat and Alfa a what else could I give her to help put weight on more

Does she have good quality hay or haylage ad lib? Is she still feeding the foal? How big is she, what quantities are you feeding and how many feeds a day?

Is the foal still on her? if so I would wean and cut back the mix until she has dried up, if weaned then it will come on gradually as she recovers from feeding the foal, ensure she has plenty of good hay, if you don't have much grass feed hay in the field.

I am not keen on mixes preferring to feed fibre and oil with a vit/ min supplement to ensure their needs are met.

I'd worm count her and teeth check as well, and then diet overhaul. Ad lib forage, drop the mix and add linseed and a rice bran oil product if she is genuinely poor.

She gets feed 3 times a day she is 16 years of age
