Has anyone used the Feedmark Slim Aid supplement? My cob is now out on lush summer grazing, muzzled and strip grazed but she is such a good doer and she is becoming increasingly difficult to handle due to excitability. I'm thinking of putting her on just a vitamin supplement so I know she's getting everything she needs but without causing her to become fizzy. She's currently on a very low calorie Allen and Page feed however, I am reluctant to feed it at the moment because she is so fizzy and seems to have become a monster!

There are better supplements out there! I personally use Equivita, but have used Pro Balance/Hoof and other people rate Forage Plus.

If shes fizzy now the grass is coming through, it is more than likely magnesium deficieny. This can make them very spooky and silly!

I'd feed one of the balancers above in a handful of food, 25gms of salt and extra magnesium while the grass is flushing

Have you thought about Blue Chip Lami Light - in my experience it really does help them drop weight.

Last year my 2 horses & mini were obese due to too lush grazing, I tried everything and in the end had to move yards to one where the grazing is poor. My very good doer cob and mini were put on lami light and my poor keeper tb was put onto Blue Chip Original. The 2 fatties dropped weight nicely and the tb who I expected to drop very quickly and be struggling with maintained her weight well - the complete opposite of what I thought for each of them which can only be put down to the lami light.

Over the winter my shetland kept quite a nice weight although about a month ago I started planning for the spring grass and put him back onto the LL - there is another shetland on our yard and they were about the same size, mine is now looking an excellent weight ( so much so that my non-horsey husband has commented on how good he's looking ) and is much slimmer than the other one.
