I have had my horse for a year and a half, I put a wanted ad up and got what I thought was my perfect horse. I tried him a couple of times and he did everything I wanted. I am only a happy hacker and he is fantastic on roads etc, the only thing is he bucks going into canter. I didn't know when I bought him, it started about 8 weeks after I bought him (only really walked and trotted him for the first few weeks as I'm not a speed freak). To date in 18 months I have had two different back people out two different saddlers out, changed saddle three times, had a tooth out, not ridden him in over 5 weeks in case of an underlying problem, shoes on him shoes off him, changed his bit, added a running martingale. My recent back person said he was sore so again rested him, period of another 4 weeks. The recent saddle man came out last week and apart from putting in some knee rolls in my saddle he said it was fine. I have spent another £300 to a lady in advance back in june to school my horse only came twice and she rode in walk listening to music on her phone then never turned up again.
We had the ok to ride him so my daughter (13) tried riding him in the field on Sunday and he bucked her off five times the last two times was just in trot. I understand if he is in pain, but I have gone down all the routes I can think off, spent hundreds of pounds trying to sort, but every time my daughter rides she gets bucked off and it breaks her heart all she wants to do is have fun with her horse, and she can't. I really feel for her safety as well as feel we are not experienced enough to deal with this, I don't know if I'm asking for advice or whether anyone has been in the same boat or if really there is any hope in us rectifying this. Just wanted to add all of the changes we have done on the advice of 3 different instructors.
