I have a very successful career (non equine related) and a few years back I had my son and since then I have been lucky enough to work part time and still earn enough money.

but now he is a bit older and is going to preschool, I have a bit of spare time. I have been enjoying the extra riding time, but am now feeling I want to do more. I could increase my hours again at work, but since I earn plenty of money without, I thought I might take this opportunity to do something new.

so I have been thinking about doing an equine related course, maybe massage, dental, leatherwork, something like that. Preferably something that would benefit my own horses, but something that I can do as a side line business later on. It doesn't need to be a massive money spinner at all, just something to keep me busy and that I can do when I have the tspare time.

so any ideas guys? I don't want the course to cost a fortune and it would need to be something I can do whilst still working part time.

What a nice position to be in. Lucky you!
I don't have any ideas or advice other than grab this chance with both hands and strike while the irons hot. Train your heart out and enjoy!

Seems they only do generic equine management courses.

How would I go about training to be a chiro or massage therapist? That sort of thing would be useful to my horses. Leatherwork also appeals to me if anyone knows where you can do courses on that. I am figuring I will be very limited with what I can do as I can't move due to my job

You can do distance learning courses for massage (look up Jilly Taunton)

Also might be worth a look at the nutrition online course that Edinburgh are running starting next week- its free!
